I'm going to pretend like the last few days hasn't happened yet, and write about the guys before the infamous May 25th...
Wilson is two years old now. And really fights against having pictures taken already. Lame. He's a very opinionated boy. He has to approve his clothes before we dress him every morning, which causes me a lot of grief because I'm so very particular myself. Sometimes I have to take deep breaths when I know Ryan will be dressing him on days I work, because I know it wouldn't be what I'd choose. He still LOVES his dad. Every night in the new house, before he goes to sleep, he sits with dad on our bed and watches the cars drive by on Legacy. His staple foods are pretzels and hummus, fruit, grilled cheese, and peanut butter sandwiches. I won't even mention the foods that Ryan gives him, because CPS might be at our door for malnutrition. His favorite books are his Alphabet Book, and The Napping House. He also loves to watch 101 Dalmatians and Little Einsteins. He can 'sort of' count to ten, but consistently skips seven. I think my favorite part about Wilson is his smile. It's pretty easy to get that guy to smile. If he doesn't know you he's pretty shy, but all you need to do is throw a blanket over his head and say "Where did Wilson go?" and he just giggles. It's amazing. Ryan said his favorite thing is that he is just all boy. He loves to go to the park and play in the dirt. He loves watching for cars with is dad. He loves to play with his trains, and he's a pretty though kid.... (that post WILL come later, I promise)

And then there is Gretchen (Beta, Lady Face, Beta Lady, Sister). She is.... tough. There, I said it. She was the best little newborn ever... then she got clingy. Don't get me wrong, she's adorable. But she just follows me around the house crying for me to hold her. All day. She's okay if she's recently napped or been fed, but really only for around a half an hour. She's 8 months old, already crawling very fast, and pulls herself up on things. I'm not used to a busy baby, because Wilson was so mellow, but this one is EVERYWHERE. If she's on your lap, she wiggling, if you're holding her she wants to be out so she can see everything. Ryan thinks it's funny that she prefers me, but it would be different if she wanted to cuddle. She is NOT cuddly. She's already climbed a whole set of stairs at the in-laws in pursuit of the cat. She's totally fine playing on the ground if there is a crowd of people, but the second it's just you and her she insists on being picked up. Now on to happier things. She eats really well. She likes fruit, sandwiches, and hummus. She is still nursing, but I'm really over it so I'll be stopping soon. Maybe. If the guilt doesn't get to me. My favorite thing about her is how happy she gets when I walk in the room. Huge smiles, and kicking legs. It melts my cold dead heart. Ryan's favorite thing right now is how chatty she's getting. If you babble to her, she babbles back. She talks all day and she has a really cute raspy little voice.
