Maybe I'm Crazy

So this food challenge that I'm doing. Well... it's awful, but that's besides the point. I started drinking Diet Coke (instead of the real thing) sometime two years ago. Since the challenge started I haven't had one. So I've been sober 2 weeks. Maybe I'm crazy, but I swear the lack of Diet Coke affects my happiness far more then the lack of regular Coke ever did. I've gone Coke free before, and yes it was hard, but I could go 4 months (I believe that was my longest drought) without being angry. Since "The Great Switch of 2011" if I've stopped drinking Diet Coke I'm ANGRY the whole time. Is it all in my head? Someone validate my theory... please?

Play Catch-up or Just Start Fresh....

My kids aren't really ever sick. Don't get me wrong, they do have a constant runny nose (like their mom), but as far as flu and fevers Wilson had it once... I can't even remember when, and Gretchen has never had either. Until two nights ago. So when she woke up vomiting Ryan and I both were at a loss for what to do. How do you clean up vomit from a rug? Do you have to rinse blankets out before you put them in the washing machine, or just throw it all in there? I if you do need to rinse it out, where? These were all questions facing us that night... And I was too tired to really think about it. The sickness continued into the next day. I never thought I would allow my kids vomit to be cupped in my hands... but I guess it's better then all over me, right?

Wilson says some pretty funny things. He once asked my friend, Maria, to tell him about her lonely friend. It makes Maria wonder what Wilson and I talk about when she's not around. He mostly goes around the house pushing Gretchen over or taking what ever she has in her hands. Which just means Gretchen is whining all day. It's lovely.

I recently started a challenge with some girls at work for a better eating plan. I can't eat candy, desserts, or drink Diet Coke for the next 5-ish weeks. It's been a week and a half already (of a 6 week plan) and it's awful. Especially when Ryan insists on buying a donut nearly every day. Also compounded by the fact I got braces (for the third time) this last week. It's really difficult to eat vegetables and fruits with braces. Trust. We agreed to do The Dirty Dash this summer, so along with eating healthier, I really need to start exercising to get in better shape so I don't drown in a pool of mud.

That is all.
