Since you all want to see them I'm sure....

I'd like to pretend that I'm sort of photographer, and I'm trying to avoid doing any more of my homework, so here are some pictures that I've taken. Feel free to comment on how artistic I am... seriously...

This is one of the first I did for my class. I was playing with the depth of field on the camera and I've found that I like pictures better with a shallow depth of field. It makes the focal point really show well and just makes it all together more interesting.

Growing up my mom had a matchbook collection where every restaurant or hotel that she stayed she'd grab one of these to take home with her. She had a pretty good collection going and now it's mine. I don't think places give these away anymore, other wise I would continue on the tradition. This was the MACRO/close-up picture that I turned into class.

Karl Marx is a genius

I feel funny starting this... I just wanted to keep in touch with people and let them know what's going on in our lives. We don't have a kid or anything, but we do have a dog that I can post pictures of... right?
Here is Karl... this is him about 8 weeks. He's a dachshund (wiener dog) but has some rare coloring. I never thought I'd like a dog, but this thing is adorable

this is what he looked like the day we brought him home. He was scared to death of the flash on my camera. He was only 6 weeks when we got him so he was really little and didn't look like a wiener at all...
